VOMIT FORTH

Vomit Forth have rapidly established themselves as one of the most uncompromising voices in modern death metal. Blending cavernous brutality and a raw, confronting edge, In The Name Of The Father is the first body of work since their 2024 album, Terrified Of God.

“The EP started with the writing of the song “Born King”. Originally, it was a song written out of spite and what I would, in hindsight, call arrogance,” says vocalist Kane Gelaznik. “I was feeling as though I was responsible for current trends in heavy music and not getting my “flowers”. Not long after I lost my father, suddenly and without warning, I started to reflect on myself as a person and my art. Realising there was something more here than just a song about my unnecessary and juvenile resentment. The song evolved in the studio into two songs, one of them being “Contrition” and the other being the aforementioned “Born King”. Thematically, the release changed into me grappling with losing a father. Struggling with feeling like a failure as a son and as a person. Ultimately, finding out that although I am flawed, I can still find happiness by learning from those failures. I wrote the lyrics in a way that was vague enough so that the listener could apply these themes from my life to their own. In hopes that something positive could come from my own tragedy.”

Vomit Forth are already a prolific touring band and known for their visceral live show. The band have shared stages with the likes of Dying Fetus, The Black Dhalia Murder, Cattle Decapitation and many more, are now set to tour the USA this April with Thrown.
