Year of the Knife Signs to Pure Noise & Announce Video/Pre-Orders
Pasadena based record label Pure Noise Records has announced it’s inked a deal with Delaware bred metallic hardcore band Year of the Knife. The quintet joins a roster that includes other notable acts like Knocked Loose, Seeyouspacecowboy, Counterparts and Terror among others.
“Pure Noise consistently supports and releases some of the most innovative bands in the scene today, and we could not be more excited to join that family and start the next chapter for Year of the Knife.” – YOTK
In conjunction with the signing announcement, Year of the Knife has released a new record today titled Ultimate Aggression. The album is a compilation of the band’s 2017 EP, Ultimate Disease, and 2018 EP, First State Aggression, and also includes a brand-new song called “Fatal,” which has premiered today via a music video. Ultimate Aggression is available now digitally and can be pre-ordered on CD/Vinyl today at http://yearoftheknife.com/.
“We shot the music video for “Fatal” with Dan Centrone at an abandoned barn in Delaware, and it was such a blast. Dan really nailed the energy and chaos of the song, and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we have planned for the future.” – YOTK
Formed in 2015, Year of the Knife is taking the hardcore scene by storm with their merciless, face melting riffs and neck snapping rhythm on record and especially on stage. Consisting of Tyler Mullen (vocals), Brandon Watkins (guitar), Madi Watkins (bass), Andrew Kisielewski (drums) and Aaron Kisielewski (guitar), the straightedge five-piece is completely unfiltered, blasting on everything from police brutality to addiction with honest fury. The band has kept busy on the road the last few years, touring with the likes of fellow labelmates Knocked Loose and Terror among others. Year of the Knife is ready to rip the pit once again in 2019 and will be headed to Europe for a tour in May/June on the back of the upcoming record Ultimate Aggression.
